Consumers of products from the Brasserie du Burkina Faso (BRAKINA) mobilized nearly 22 billion FCFA out of the 35 collected by the Patriotic Support Fund (FSP) for the peace effort, as of August 31, 2023.
The Patriotic Support Fund (FSP) took stock of the contributions for the peace effort of 34 billion 980 million 743 thousand 686 CFA Francs mobilized as of August 31, 2023, on behalf of the 3rd of orientation of the FSP.
Of the 34,980,743,686 FCFA mobilized, 30 billion 980 million 517 thousand 089 have been collected and 4 billion 226 thousand 597 awaiting collection, the 4,000 226,597 awaiting collection come from withdrawals made on IT products, mobile telephones and Canal+ Burkina.
The largest share of the contribution to the Patriotic Support Fund comes from levies on taxes applied to the Brewery of Burkina Faso (BRAKINA) which represents 70.81%, or 21 billion 936 million 982 thousand 350 FCFA.
Followed by levies on imported products (3.57 billion, 11.51%), other voluntary contributions (2.5 billion, 8.09%), legal entities (1.9 billion, 6.15%) and transfers of income (1 billion, 3.37%).
The Minister of Economy, Finance and Foresight, Dr Aboubakar Nanacabo affirmed the government remains convinced that the FSP is an alternative solution for mobilizing resources to support the efforts made by the State in general, and to support the VDP support.
The Prime Minister, however, called for the strengthening of a synergy of actions between the different actors involved in the implementation of the FSP and the mobilization of resources for the optimization of communication around the fund and the digitalization of procedures. management of the FSP.
“We can say that we are on the right track to be able to effectively support the VDPs on the ground in the fight against insecurity” indicated the Minister of Economy, Finance and Foresight, Dr Aboubakar Nacanabo.
As a reminder, the patriotic support fund was created on January 11, 2023 with the aim of ensuring the transparency of the funds collected to ensure the peace effort of Burkinabè and during the 2nd amount collected was 20,752,574,695 FCFA.
