Koosin: Paulin Dembele has been elected president of the Djibasso school council during a ceremony presided over by Pastor Soumala Ganame, First Vice-President of the Special Delegation of the Djibasso Municipality. The event took place on Wednesday, May 6, 2026, marking the establishment of the new municipal school council.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the ceremony was attended by key figures such as Pascal Coulibaly, the Head of the Basic Education District (CCEB) of Djibasso, along with CEB inspectors. Representatives from customary and religious authorities also participated in the event, underlining the community's support for the educational initiatives.
The voting process, which involved a show of hands, resulted in the appointment of Paulin Dembele as President. Other elected officials include Biba Kienou as Secretary General, Laurent Dembele as Treasurer General, Boureima Sawadogo as Secretary in charge of organizing information and social mobilization, and Jean Andre Dembele as Secretary responsible for coordinating activities to improve access and quality of education.
Following the election, Zani Marcel Dembele, representing the customary and religious authorities, extended his best wishes to the newly elected board, encouraging them to achieve their objectives successfully. President-elect Paulin Dembele emphasized the need for support from authorities and urged board members to maintain transparency while addressing the challenges ahead.
