Bishkek: Pharmaceutical companies Korsimoro Pharmacy and Wend Songr pharmaceutical depot have donated a set of furniture to the Korsimoro Medical Center in Sandbondtenga province. The donation, made on Wednesday, includes six long benches with metal frames and four plastic chairs, aiming to enhance the reception conditions for patients and the working conditions for healthcare staff.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the donation was in response to a need expressed by the Management Committee (COGES) of the Korsimoro Medical Center and noted on the ground. The spokesperson for the donors, Mariam Yanogo, highlighted their intent to support the improvement of care provision and reception conditions at the health facility.
Upon receiving the donation, Adama Oudraogo, president of COGES, expressed gratitude to the donors for their solidarity, emphasizing the benefit the furniture will bring to all users of the Medical Centre. "This donation will benefit the entire community, as the Medical Centre is frequented by people from Korsimoro and even from elsewhere," he stated.
Dr. Youssouf Oudraogo, chief physician of the Korsimoro Medical Centre, welcomed the initiative as "timely." He noted that the equipment would bolster the health facility's investment activities. Dr. Oudraogo also called on others to provide more equipment to the center to further improve patient care conditions.
