Loumbila: The Chief of Staff of the President of Faso, Captain Martha C©leste Anderson MEDAH, visited the market gardening site of the women's cooperative in the village of Zongo, in the commune of Loumbila, this Friday to confirm the effectiveness of the start of the site development work promised by the Head of State during his surprise visit on March 6 as part of the commemoration of International Women's Day.
According to Burkina Information Agency, three weeks after Captain Ibrahim Traor©'s unexpected visit to the women producers of Zongo, the site is under construction in an effort to fulfill the Head of State's promises. Two high-speed boreholes have been drilled, site fencing work is underway, and the lowland has been developed in accordance with standards. This was the observation made by the Head of State's Chief of Staff on the ground.
"We came to ensure that the instructions given by the President of Faso, Head of State, are being implemented to protect the mining site and guarantee better production for the women who work there," stated Captain MEDAH, who expressed satisfaction with the level of work.
The president of the women's cooperative of producers of the village of Zongo, Elise OUEDRAOGO, expressed the joy and gratitude of all women to President Ibrahim TRAOR‚¬Å¡¬€¦¡¬° for his kept promise. "The Head of State came to see us; we presented our grievances to him, and he made sure that what we never dreamed of here for ourselves is coming true. We thank him," emphasized Elise OUEDRAOGO.
The president of the Village Development Council (CVD) of Zongo, Sim©on KAFANDO, also conveyed the gratitude of the entire population of the village of Zongo and surrounding areas for this development which is being put in place for the community's benefit. The ongoing work includes the development of 3.75 hectares of irrigated area, the construction of a water tower automatically supplied by two high-flow boreholes, 15 irrigation basins, access tracks, and a fence. All of this work is expected to be completed by the end of April 2025.
