Promotion of Local Products Emphasized in Douroula

Douroula:The President of the Special Delegation (PDS) of Douroula, Maxime Y. Bakouan, has called on the heads of services and residents to prioritize the consumption of local products. This appeal was made during a flag-raising ceremony, which was part of the National Days of Patriotic Commitment and Citizen Participation (JEPPC).

According to Burkina Information Agency, Maxime Y. Bakouan emphasized the importance of supporting national production to promote Burkinabe know-how and bolster economic sovereignty. He relayed a message from the President of Faso, Captain Ibrahim Traoré, under the theme "Let's produce Burkinab, let's consume Burkinab."

The ceremony also highlighted the need for order and discipline, the fight against corruption, and the preservation of common heritage. Bakouan urged citizens to reject behaviors that could impede Burkina Faso's development and encouraged department heads to implement these principles in their work and daily lives.

He advocated for collective mobilization in favor of consuming products made in Burkina Faso, urging the population to consider each purchase as an act of sovereignty. Public service employees were particularly encouraged to lead by example by choosing local products in their consumption habits.

Bakouan stressed that it is the responsibility of public servants to initiate these changes, thus encouraging the broader population to follow suit by promoting local consumption through market purchases. This initiative is part of the JNEPPC's second phase, which focuses on enhancing patriotic commitment and citizen participation while promoting national production and "Made in Burkina" products.
