Radio Notre Dame du Sahel Engages Listeners at Ouahigouya Event

Yatenga: The Diocesan Communication Center (CDC) of Ouahigouya organized a day dedicated to Listening and Dialogue Clubs (CED) for Radio Notre Dame du Sahel (RNDS), bringing together faithful listeners and media representatives.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the event featured a conference and a General Assembly of club members, where listeners expressed their dedication to the radio. A highlight was the official presentation of the medal of honor awarded to the radio by the State on December 11, 2024, presented by Father Raoul Konseimbo, director of the CDC, in the presence of Bishop Justin Kient©ga.

Participants came from across the North region, Centre-North, and Ouahigouya to engage in this initiative. Representatives from various local radio stations also attended, adding to the event's significance.

The day commenced with a conference by Issoufou Joseph Bissiri, an expert in social cohesion, who emphasized the role of radio and the responsibilities of loyal listeners. He provided guidance on fostering community harmony and securing support for CED activities.

During the General Assembly, club members reviewed their achievements over the past year and outlined plans for 2025. Recommendations were made to enhance the functioning of the CEDs, RNDS, and other CDC projects.

Abbot Raoul Konseimbo extended his best wishes for 2025 to CDC staff, listeners, collaborators, and partners. Bishop Justin Kient©ga's presence marked the medal's official presentation, recognizing the radio's contributions to the Burkinabe Nation and the Northern region.

The event concluded with a thanksgiving mass and a celebration on January 12, honoring the RNDS community.
