Raising of the Colors Ceremony Highlights Achievements and Concerns in Namentenga

Namentenga: Members of the constituted bodies of the province of Namentenga carried out the monthly raising of the colors on Monday in Boulsa, under the presidency of the High Commissioner, Adama Conseiga. The achievements of the reconquest of the provincial territory, the culling of stray dogs, public awareness campaigns regarding Deme Sira, and road safety were the main topics of discussion on the sidelines of the flag-raising ceremony.

According to Burkina Information Agency, members of the various constituted bodies congratulated the combat forces for their progress in the theaters of operation, marked by a lull in attacks throughout January 2026. Special recognition was also given to the prefects, heads of the special delegations who had traveled from their respective localities for the occasion.

These discussions also provided a forum for sharing various information with the assembly. This includes the amount of contributions to Deme Sira in Namentenga, totaling 802,475 CFA francs as of January 31, 2025, as well as the termination by the Ministry of Infrastructure of the contract for the construction and paving of the Boulsa-Kalwartenga road with the defaulting company responsible for several accidents.

Members of the constituted bodies, through their president, Adama Conseiga, paid a well-deserved tribute to the combat forces deployed in the field. He also urged the public to exercise greater caution on the road under construction and to have their pets vaccinated. According to him, the solemn flag-raising ceremony provides a valuable forum for dialogue among the various stakeholders in the province's development.
