Houet: The Bobo-Dioulasso Regional Council of the Order of Pharmacists organized a training session on Thursday, November 6, 2025, for pharmacy students graduating in 2025 from the Higher Institute of Health Sciences (INSSA). The activity, called "Deonto-Pharma" and held on the institute's premises, aims to strengthen the future pharmacists' knowledge of the ethics governing the profession, enabling them to practice professionally.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the training session addressed several topics, including the challenges of pharmaceutical ethics, the presentation of the role and missions of the Order of Pharmacists, as well as other aspects related to the practice of the profession. These exchanges enabled participants to better understand the fundamental values that govern their future profession, including responsibility and compliance with ethical rules.

President of the Regional Council of the Order of Pharmacists of Bobo, speaker Dr. Abdoul Azize Djire, urged students to put into practice the knowledge acquired during this training. "Knowledge of pharmaceutical ethics is very important for practicing this profession. It guides your actions in the service of public health," he stressed.

The participating students consider the initiative highly beneficial. According to the class representative, Yimien Boris, this training will better prepare them to assume their responsibilities. "We welcome this initiative by the Regional Council. It helps us to understand the demands of the profession and to better meet the health needs of the population," he said.

The meeting concluded with the distribution to all participants of a collection of texts governing the practice of the pharmacy profession in Burkina Faso.
