Nouna:Residents have expressed their views on the governance of Captain Ibrahim Traor©, marking four years since he took the helm of Burkina Faso.
According to Burkina Information Agency, Harouna Dama, a high school and college teacher, praised the leadership of Captain Traor©, citing actions aimed at economic and social progress. He described the captain as a visionary who seeks to lead the country out of its challenges. Dama noted improvements in security in Koosin province, attributing this to the recruitment of Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland and the establishment of the 53rd Commando Infantry Regiment.
Dama also highlighted enhancements in education with a focus on vocational and technical training, which he believes could foster self-employment among the youth. In agriculture, he appreciated measures like reduced-cost plowing and subsidized fertilizers. To build on these achievements, he advocates for better border security, increased cooperation with neighboring countries, and vocational training for teachers. He also suggested constructing water reservoirs to support year-round agriculture in the Nouna area.
Dr. Edouard Y©, a pharmacist, considered Captain Traor©'s rise to power beneficial, especially given the difficulties preceding it. He mentioned that the supply of pharmaceuticals had improved following the installation of the 53rd RIC, which also facilitated job creation through the reopening of industrial units.
Fatoumata Traor©, a primary school teacher, noted that infrastructure development has improved under Traor©'s governance but emphasized that more work is needed, particularly in their region. She urged citizens to engage more actively in national development efforts.
