Sangui©: The province of Sangui© officially launched the 'Revolutionary Youth on the March' (JRM) initiative on Thursday, April 9, to commemorate the first year of the proclamation of the Popular Progressive Revolution (RPP). The ceremony, held at Place de la Nation in R©o, was presided over by the High Commissioner of the Sangui© province, Ms. Talari Germaine Ouoba, who read the speech of the Prime Minister, Rimtalba Jean Emmanuel Ou©draogo, in the presence of administrative, military, customary and religious authorities, as well as a strong mobilization of youth.
According to Burkina Information Agency, in his address, the head of government praised the commitment of Burkina Faso's youth, whom he described as the "lifeblood" and vanguard of the People's Progressive Revolution. He recalled that this revolutionary movement, proclaimed on April 1, 2025, by the President of Burkina Faso, Captain Ibrahim Traor©, aims for the establishment of a sovereign Burkina Faso, founded on the values of social justice, patriotism, and integrity.
The "Revolutionary Youth on the March" initiative aims to strengthen the mobilization and awareness of young people around the ideals of the Revolution. It is intended to be a platform for expressing patriotic commitment, promoting national values, and actively participating in building a united and prosperous Burkina Faso.
The JRM implementation program includes, among other things, days of tribute to martyrs, educational talks, public conferences on patriotic values, and the production of awareness-raising content in support of the actions of the People's Progressive Revolution.
The Prime Minister also invited young people to fully embrace this initiative, in order to contribute effectively to the reconquest of territorial integrity and the affirmation of national sovereignty.
The ceremony was marked by a minute of silence in tribute to the nation's martyrs. Following the reading of the speech, participants took part in a fun run, followed by an aerobics session, thus demonstrating the physical and civic engagement of the youth of Sangui©.
Through this mobilization, the young people of the province intend to play their full role in the ongoing social and political transformation dynamic in Burkina Faso.
