Yatenga: The Gathering of Intelligence for African Sovereignty (RISA) hosted a major panel on Saturday, July 12, 2025, in Ouahigouya. The objective was to raise awareness among the masses in order to support the ongoing Popular and Progressive Revolution (RPP) in Burkina Faso.
According to Burkina Information Agency, after conducting similar panels in Ouagadougou, Tenkodogo, Banfora, D©dougou, Niankorodougou, and Fada N'Gourma, RISA brought its public awareness initiative to the Yatenga region. Residents of the city of Naaba Kango engaged with RISA to strengthen their support for Captain Ibrahim Traor© and the Progressive and Popular Revolution (RPP).
Leaders from civil society organizations, traditional and religious figures, along with other active forces from Ouahigouya, participated in large numbers. Amidou Guingani, the regional coordinator of RISA's Yatenga section, emphasized the panel's goal to politically and ideologically educate the Yatenga citizens to fully support Captain Ibrahim Traor© through the RPP. He encouraged participants to become advocates for awareness-raising and to effectively communicate the revolution's aims.
The panel featured two significant presentations. Adama Amad© Siguir© delivered the first presentation, titled "The Struggle Against Imperialism: A Long-Term Battle." Dr. Hyacinthe W. Ou©draogo presented the second, focusing on "The People's Responsibility for the Triumph of the Progressive and Popular Revolution (RPP)."
Pierre Claver Banc©, Secretary General of Yatenga Province, spoke on behalf of the region's governor. He praised the RISA/Yatenga branch's initiative and encouraged attendees to engage deeply with the discussions for optimal benefit.
