Ouagadougou:Seventy-five Burkinabe migrants have voluntarily returned to Ouagadougou from Libya. They traveled aboard a charter flight arranged by the International Organization for Migration (IOM) in collaboration with the Burkinabe Government.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the returnees were welcomed at Ouagadougou International Airport by representatives of national authorities and the IOM. They will receive temporary accommodation and support for their socio-economic reintegration.

Last week, a similar initiative facilitated the return of 82 other Burkinabe migrants from Algeria and Tunisia. These efforts are part of the MPRR-SSA programme, funded by the European Union and implemented by the IOM in partnership with Burkina Faso.
