Sissili: The private medical practice in Boura, in the Sissili province, was officially transformed into a private Health and Social Promotion Center (CSPS), named "Wiseniduore" ("God heals" in the Sissala language), during a ceremony presided over on Tuesday by the Prefect, President of the Special Delegation of Boura, Judith Diasso/Kanyala, under the patronage of the High Commissioner of the province, Tewende Isaac Sia. This transformation aims to strengthen the healthcare services available in the municipality and improve access to health services for the population.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the ceremony was marked by prayers of blessing, speeches from traditional authorities, and artistic performances. The High Commissioner of Sissili Province, Tewende Isaac Sia, welcomed the initiative and urged healthcare workers to demonstrate professionalism and dedication in carrying out their duties.
The president of the Boura special delegation, Judith Diasso/Kanyala, expressed the municipality's gratitude to the center's promoters, particularly its founder, Dr. Daniel Zopoula, and its national director, Pastor Luc Zogdia. She emphasized that this infrastructure will contribute to improving the living conditions of the local population and urged them to make good use of it.
The ceremony's sponsor, Seydoux Bassave, emphasized the center's social mission, calling on healthcare workers to demonstrate patience and humanism in patient care. On the technical side, the district medical officer (DMO), Dr. Aboubacary Abdou, representing the regional health director, indicated that bringing the center up to standard will help improve health indicators, particularly in maternal and child health.
The regional director of the Nando Blood Transfusion Center, Dr. Drissa Kone, emphasized the importance of adhering to standards and ethical guidelines, while also advocating for support from the health district, particularly regarding the cold chain. Costing over 36 million FCFA, the "Wiseniduore" Primary Health Center (CSPS) boasts modern infrastructure designed to serve patients from Boura and surrounding areas, thus reducing travel distances in emergencies.
