Strong Student Participation in the Patriotic Engagement Days

Sebba: Teachers and students from the middle and primary schools of Sebba marked the celebration of the Days of Patriotic Commitment and Citizen Participation (JEPPC) with a civic imprint on Saturday, April 4, 2026, through several civic and solidarity activities. Educational stakeholders in Sebba mobilized strongly for the Days of Patriotic Commitment and Civic Participation. Starting at 7 a.m., students, teachers, and guests gathered at the Sebba A school for the raising of the national flag.

According to Burkina Information Agency, in an atmosphere of respect and discipline, the national anthem was performed during the raising of the flag, thus officially launching the activities. The delegation then proceeded to the AES roundabout in the city center, where a display had been set up for the reading of a message from the President of Burkina Faso, Captain Ibrahim Traore. The speech, translated into local languages, ensured its wider acceptance by the population.

On this occasion, the students presented a contribution of 118,500 CFA francs to the Defense and Security Forces (FDS) and the Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland (VDP). At the same time, primary school students displayed produce from their school gardens. The day continued with a cleanup operation at the Medical Center, before concluding with a football match between students and local youth. For the district's chief inspector, Bako Bali, this mobilization is a source of satisfaction and demonstrates the students' commitment, considering them the future builders of the nation.
