Ganzourgou: A native of Tanghin, in the commune of M©guet, donates a shed and medical equipment to the local health center (CSPS). The Kiendpaolg naba of Tanghin officially offered on Thursday a hangar and a set of medical-technical equipment, all estimated at nearly 1.5 million CFA francs, to the Health and Social Promotion Center (CSPS) of the locality, during a sober ceremony presided over by the first vice-president of the special municipal delegation of M©guet, representing the first municipal and provincial authorities.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the donation includes a hangar for patients, three blood pressure monitors, two boxes of syringes, and three packs of medical gloves. The detailed budget reveals that the hangar is valued at 1,326,250 CFA francs and the equipment at 115,580 CFA francs, making the total cost 1,441,830 CFA francs.
The donor’s representative, Ousmane Kabor©, stated that the initiative was inspired by the benefactor’s experience during hospitalization at the Tanghin CSPS. The benefactor observed the challenges faced by patients who had no shaded area to wait for their appointments. As a response to the call of the President of Faso, Captain Ibrahim Traor©, to contribute to the nation’s development, the benefactor decided to make this contribution.
Dr. Delphin Kabor©, Chief Medical Officer of the Zorgho health district, acknowledged the initiative’s importance, highlighting its potential to improve patient conditions and care quality. The donation provides a space to shelter patients, especially on vaccination or weighing days, enhancing the health center’s operations.
Representing the President of the special delegation of the commune of M©guet, first vice-president Justin Korsaga expressed gratitude to the donor. He emphasized the donation’s significance in aiding local authorities’ efforts to develop health infrastructure under the municipal power transfer framework. Korsaga encouraged local youth to follow this example of citizenship and urged the CSPS Management Committee to maintain the facility through community-driven initiatives.
This action aligns with community participation efforts to enhance the State’s initiatives in improving health service access for the population.
