Bishkek: Teachers from the Basic Education Districts (CEB) of Bourasso, Barani, and Sono launched a pedagogical immersion session dedicated to the appropriation of the harmonized formula of bi-multilingual education.

According to Burkina Information Agency, this ten-day training aims to strengthen the skills of teachers and directors of bilingual schools in these districts. The objective is to equip them with the necessary tools for effective implementation of the harmonized formula of bi-multilingual education.

Participants are being trained particularly in the transcription of Jula, its grammar as taught in Jula, and its standardized spelling. Additionally, they are familiarizing themselves with didactic approaches in line with the Integrative Pedagogical Approach (IPA) and the development of teaching materials.

This session aligns with national guidelines aimed at enhancing the integration of national languages into the Burkinabe education system from the upcoming school year. The initiative seeks to empower teachers and local supervisors with the expertise needed to implement the reform and provide quality educational support.

The training is facilitated by inspectors Jrmy Coulibaly, Oss Coulibaly, and Mathias Koussoub, under the coordination of Heads of Basic Education Districts (CCEB) Missa Sanou, Andr Di, and Yelkouhan Abel Som. Participants are engaging in interactive presentations, discussions, and group work to better understand the requirements related to bilingual and multilingual education implementation.
