The government has just adopted new statutes for the Burkina Faso Infrastructure Works Agency (AGETIB) allowing it, in addition to road infrastructure, to broaden its scope of action to railways, airports, modern toll booths and logistics platforms. The revised AGETIP texts, approved by the Council of Ministers this Thursday, open the company's board of directors to representatives of local authorities, as observers. Likewise, its director general can be appointed by the council of ministers after or without a call for applications.AGETIB is a state company created in 2010 to ensure delegated project management of infrastructure projects and contribute to strengthening the capacities and professionalism of design offices and construction companies.Source: Burkina Information Agency
