Djelgodji: The High Commissioner of the Djelgodji province, Wend-N©r© Wilfried Tougma, took part on Friday, February 13, 2026, in the weekly prayer at the great mosque of Djawiya, located in sector 2 of Djibo, in a dynamic of strengthening social cohesion and living together.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the visit by the top official of Djelgodji province is part of an effort to promote social cohesion. Through this gesture, Wend-N©r© Wilfried Tougma reaffirmed his commitment to remaining close to the people, sharing their concerns and aspirations for a lasting return of peace and security to the province.
Upon his arrival, he was greeted by the Grand Imam of Djawiya, El Hadj Seckou Dahirou Doukour©, surrounded by the elders of the community. He then participated in the religious service in an atmosphere of contemplation and fervor.
At the end of the prayer, the Grand Imam offered blessings for peace, stability, and social cohesion in Burkina Faso, as well as for the province of Soum.
Speaking at the event, High Commissioner Wend-N©r© Wilfried Tougma urged the faithful to remain united and in solidarity, while continuing to pray for the lasting return of peace and tranquility. He emphasized that faith and unity are essential pillars for overcoming current challenges.
The ceremony ended in an atmosphere of shared satisfaction, reflecting the support of the faithful and the elders for this local initiative.
