Kourittenga/jeppc: The High Commissioner calls on the population to collaborate with the fighting forces. The High Commissioner of Kourittenga Province, Moctar Ilboudo, called on the population to be more vigilant, show greater solidarity, and cooperate with the security forces. This was during the flag-raising ceremony held on Tuesday, April 7, 2026, at the Republican Security Company (CRS) headquarters in Pouytenga.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the ceremony was presided over by representatives of the Defense and Security Forces (FDS), various constituted bodies, traditional and religious authorities, and the general public. The High Commissioner of Kourittenga Province, Moctar Ilboudo, emphasized the importance of vigilance, solidarity, and cooperation with security forces.

He also presented the trophy and regional torch for the first edition of the "Dem¨ Sira" initiative, as well as the certificate of recognition awarded to Kourittenga Province for its commitment to this national solidarity activity. The commander of the Republican Security Company (CRS) of Pouytenga, Hamidou Sia, welcomed the selection of his unit to host the flag-raising ceremony.

Hamidou Sia reiterated the CRS's main missions, including ensuring the safety of people and property, maintaining public order, and supporting other forces deployed in the field. He also called on the population to cooperate fully with the security forces to ensure the effective accomplishment of their missions.

The High Commissioner urged all citizens to mobilize strongly in support of the National Solidarity Days and to actively prepare for the second edition of "Dem¨ Sira". He also urged the population to support the newly established CRS in the commune, in order to strengthen security and social cohesion.

Moctar Ilboudo called on all local stakeholders to join forces for the success of the various missions entrusted to the administrative authorities and the defense and security forces. The strong turnout at this flag-raising ceremony testifies to the commitment of local authorities and the population to promoting the values of solidarity, social cohesion, and patriotism in the Kourittenga province.
