Ouagadougou: The people of the commune of Morolaba participated this Saturday in a large-scale sanitation and awareness operation at the health and social promotion center as part of the National Vector Control Day, in order to contribute to the prevention of malaria.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the day was marked by awareness sessions on malaria prevention measures, environmental cleanup, and the destruction of larval breeding grounds that promote mosquito proliferation. The participants cleared some stagnant water points and cleaned the area around the CSPS while inviting the population to keep their living environment clean in order to reduce the risk of spreading malaria.

The organizers emphasized that the fight against mosquitoes requires adopting simple sanitation practices and regularly eliminating breeding sites. PDS Germain Mien indicated that this mobilization reflects the commitment of the municipal authorities, health services, and the people of Morolaba to supporting malaria prevention and community health promotion efforts.
