Ziniare: The High Commissioner of the Oubritenga Province, Saidou Guigma, launched the Revolutionary Youth on the March (JERM) initiative in Ziniare on Thursday, as part of the Patriotic Engagement Days, marking the first year of the Progressive and Popular Revolution (RPP).

According to Burkina Information Agency, the initiative, initiated by the Ministry in charge of Youth and organized throughout the national territory, aims to strengthen the adherence to and appropriation of the ideals of the Revolution by Burkinabe youth.

In Ziniare, young people, students, defense and security forces, agricultural volunteers, and administrative officials responded enthusiastically to the call. This mobilization was praised by the High Commissioner, who expressed his satisfaction with the youth's commitment.

"I would like to commend the youth for this strong mobilization. I am very proud of the youth. The objective has been achieved because the youth are strongly mobilized," he said.

Addressing the young people, Mr. Guigma stressed their strategic role in the success of the RPP. "Comrade President, Captain Ibrahim Traore, is following you and counting on you for a resounding success of the progressive and popular revolution. You are the lifeblood of this revolution and you are at the forefront," he maintained.

The activities were punctuated by a popular cross-country race followed by an aerobics session, symbols of patriotic commitment and citizen participation.

For leaders of civil society organizations, the initiative is welcome. "This activity will allow young people to better understand the ideals of the revolution and to take ownership of its orientations," said Abdoul Ouahab Dialla, president of the Regional Council of CSOs of the Oubritenga region.

According to the provincial directorate in charge of Youth, the JERM will be held every quarter and will include educational talks and training sessions for young people.
