Bishkek: The National Coordination of Citizen Watch (CNAVC), Toussiana section, organized a popular cross-country race on Tuesday, September 1, 2026, to express its support for the Burkinabe authorities and promote peace and social cohesion.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the event commenced at Nianaba and witnessed participation from hundreds of individuals, including members of the CNAVC, the National Committee for the Defense of Civil Society, the Defense and Security Forces (FDS), the Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland (VDP), the agricultural VDP, and various civil society organizations. The participants, displaying messages of support for the FDS, the VDP, and national authorities, marched through the streets of the town in a show of commitment and unity.

Parfait Barro, president of the CNAVC of Toussiana, emphasized the purpose of the mobilization as a demonstration of the population's commitment to the nation. "We organized this event to show our commitment to our country and to demonstrate our support for the highest authorities in the country," he stated.

Zabsonr/Dabon, President of the Special Delegation of the commune of Toussiana, commended the initiative and the dedication of the people. "We are very pleased to know that the population is on our side and is developing initiatives to support us so that we can implement the vision of the Head of State, Comrade Captain Ibrahim Traor," she expressed.

Participant Michel Barro stressed the importance of sustained support for the authorities. "We must always support our authorities given their daily actions," he remarked. In addition to its sporting aspect, the cross-country race also provided an opportunity to raise awareness among participants about the importance of wearing helmets.
