Yatenga: The Yatenga educational community has initiated the administrative start of the 2026-2027 school year with a determination to continue the educational offering, AIB has observed.
According to Burkina Information Agency, recruitment of new learners, guidance for parents, and reunions between colleagues after three months of vacation characterize the atmosphere in some schools on this first day of the administrative start of the school year. At the Bimbilin 'B' school in the city of Ouahigouya, the entire staff gathered for administrative formalities while awaiting the start of the academic year.
The director of the Drabo/Dakuo Marthe school noted that the teachers at the school are showing enthusiasm and a willingness to consolidate the gains of the ongoing educational reforms, which are seen as essential for the complete training of learners. Ms. Drabo stated, "Our school staff intends to implement the recommendations of the educational reforms desired by the authorities of Burkina Faso. We are working tirelessly from today so that learning activities can proceed normally at the start of the academic year."
The provincial director of preschool, primary and non-formal education (DPEPPNF) of Yatenga, Salam Oudraogo, expressed satisfaction with the commitment of the staff and social partners of the educational structures following a tour to observe the effectiveness of this administrative start in the basic education districts of the province. "Everywhere we went, we were welcomed by men and women determined to continue providing education. With such dedication, we are hopeful that success rates will be even better this year," said Comrade Oudraogo.
DPEPPNF Salam Oudraogo reassured the educational community of the support of the highest authorities to strengthen the skills of educators for quality education focused on patriotism, civic-mindedness, endogeneity, and science.
