Loroum: The youth of Loroum stand in solidarity with the Revolutionary Youth on the March initiative. The High Commissioner of the province of Loroum, Captain Djibril Bassole, launched the Revolutionary Youth on the March (JReM) initiative on Thursday, April 2, 2026, as a call for young people to embrace the ideals of the Progressive and Popular Revolution (RPP).
According to Burkina Information Agency, Captain Bassole delivered a message encouraging the youth to adopt the ideals of the RPP, aligning with the vision of the Head of State. He imparted to the audience the speech of Prime Minister Rimtalba Jean Emmanuel Ouedraogo and emphasized the importance of youth mobilization in support of these revolutionary ideals. "The RPP, launched on April 1, 2025, aims to enable Burkinab¨ youth to live out their commitment, to live as revolutionaries, to work as revolutionaries, considering every tool at their disposal as a revolutionary weapon, with the conviction: 'Homeland or death, we will prevail,'" Bassole stated.
The High Commissioner highlighted the pivotal role of the youth in national development. "The driving force of a population is its youth," he declared, stressing their involvement in the defense and promotion of development ideals and values.
In Titao, a series of activities have been planned to further the initiative's goals. These include public conferences, discussion groups, video clip screenings about the revolution, aerobics sessions, and clean-up days. Abdoul Karim Sawadogo, the provincial director in charge of Youth for Loroum, called for strong youth mobilization to ensure the success of JReM. Sawadogo noted that the movement should also serve as a platform for promoting the values embodied by the progressive and popular revolution.
