According to the Eastern Regional Director of Environment, Lieutenant-Colonel of Water and Forests Romuald Nikiéma, and his men, cleaned the arteries of the town of Fada N’Gourma and cleaned the Fada N Regional Hospital Center ‘Gourma, the garrison and the governorate of the East.
The Water and Forestry agents explained to the populations near the gutters the importance of not obstructing the water passages by throwing garbage there in order to avoid flooding.
They also invited them to keep their work a
nd living spaces clean, avoiding throwing away plastic bags, especially in the open air.
The Secretary General of the Eastern region, Siaka Ouattara welcomed and encouraged the actions that the Lieutenant-Colonel and his men have just taken.
Also, he added, if the framework is deliverable, it is not only the authorities who benefit, it is the entire population.
Siaka Ouattara urged people to follow the advice of technicians by making their living environment healthier because according to him, by making the environment healthy, we would reduce more than half of their medical prescriptions.
Lieutenant-Colonel Romuald Nikiéma expressed his gratitude to the regional and municipal authorities and to the populations who accompanied them in celebrating this day.
