The Association for the economic, social and cultural development of Orodara (ADESCO), presented this Monday, June 10, 2024, a motorcycle to the president of the special delegation of the municipality of Orodara, Emmanuel Konaté, for the Volunteers of the defense of the homeland (VDP) falling within its territorial jurisdiction, with a view to contributing to the peace effort.
The handover of the motorcycle was made on Monday June 10, 2024 by the Association for the Economic, Social and Cultural Development of Orodara (ADESCO) for the Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland (VDP) of the municipality of Orodara.
The ceremony took place in the presence of town hall staff and beneficiaries.
According to the vice-president of the Association, Karim Barro, this donation is part of support for the peace effort.
‘We are all sensitive to the security crisis that our country has been experiencing for some time and for its recovery, everyone needs the involvement. Through this donation, we want to demonstrate ou
r attachment to the recovery of the national territory and the preservation of our dignity,’ he declared.
The President of the special delegation of Orodara, Emmanuel Konaté, welcomed the invaluable gesture on the part of ADESCO for the benefit of the VDPs of his commune.
‘The motorcycle will significantly contribute to strengthening the operational skills of the units in the reconquest of the national territory,’ according to Emmanuel Konaté.
According to him, it is not the number that counts but rather the action taken which is beneficial.
The President of the special delegation from Orodara invited everyone to also follow in the footsteps of ADESCO.
The representative of the beneficiaries, Hamidou Traoré, for his part, expressed his gratitude to ADESCO for this donation which will allow them to carry out their mission in the field.
