Sebba: The Yagha Students and Pupils Association (AEEDY) held the third edition of its '48 hours' on November 8 and 9, 2025, in Sebba, Dori, and Ouagadougou for sustainable social cohesion.According to Burkina Information Agency, the event, themed "The strategic lever for establishing sustainable social cohesion in the Liptako region," brought together more than a thousand young people for sporting, cultural activities, and public conferences.For two days, the youth of Yagha mobilized to share moments of unity and reflection in a context marked by security challenges. In Sebba, Dori, and Ouagadougou, members and supporters of AEEDY participated in sports tournaments, cultural performances, and discussions on the issues of peace and social cohesion. According to the organizers, these activities aimed to strengthen solidarity and dialogue among young people from the Yagha province.The association's president, Soumaila Barry, expressed his particular satisfaction with the turnout. "We estimate over a thous and young participants. In Sebba, despite the security situation, we felt a strong desire to come together around sports and culture," he said. He believes this initiative gives hope to young people and fosters community resilience in the face of current challenges.The event's patron, Hindatou Amadou, praised the relevance of the theme and the youth's commitment. "Given the security situation in Sebba, I couldn't remain indifferent. It's a pleasure for me to support such an initiative," she declared. She called on all residents to remain united and support AEEDY's actions for the sustainable development of Yagha and the nation.
