Boulkiemde: The International Missionary Alliance Burkina (AMI-B), in partnership with PMU, distributed food kits to 20 internally displaced persons (IDPs) in the commune of Bingo. The ceremony was attended by the president of the special delegation of Bingo, the representative of AMI-B, the head of the Social Action department, and the canton chief of Bingo.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the donation consisted of 20 bags of rice (25 kg each), 20 packages of spaghetti (5 kg each), and 20 cans of oil (5 litres each). Each beneficiary received one 25kg bag of rice, one 5kg package of spaghetti, and one 5-liter can of oil.
This initiative is part of the food relief and community health project implemented by AMI-B, in partnership with PMU. Alongside the distribution of food kits, the IDPs also benefited from free hepatitis B screening, contributing to prevention and health promotion among vulnerable populations.
The ongoing efforts by AMI-B and its partners aim to improve access to adequate food and essential health care for IDPs. This action also seeks to strengthen community solidarity and the resilience of affected households.
Yacouba Gouem, the president of the special delegation of the municipality of Bingo, expressed gratitude to AMI-B and PMU for their support. He reaffirmed the municipality's commitment to collaborating with all stakeholders for the well-being and health of Bingo's population.
