Bobo-dioulasso: The Burkina Information Agency (AIB) received a certificate of recognition from the General Directorate of the Municipal Police of Houet in Bobo-Dioulasso. The honor was given in acknowledgment of AIB's contribution to the success of the 30th anniversary commemorative activities of the Municipal Police.According to Burkina Information Agency, the recognition was awarded during the 3rd edition of the annual Solidarity Day of the Municipal Police. The event was presided over by Mr. Laurent K. Kontogom, the president of the Special Delegation (PDS) of the municipality of Bobo-Dioulasso. The Solidarity Day is an initiative aimed at supporting vulnerable people and fostering cohesion and solidarity within the institution.During the event, 14 retired municipal police officers, the families of 16 deceased officers, and 156 women from the Green Brigade were beneficiaries of donations. These included food, traditional fabrics, and financial support. Each woman from the Green Brigade received three fabrics, 50,000 FCFA, and bags of rice for a community meal.The Director General of the Municipal Police, Mr. Seydou Coulibaly, expressed appreciation for the support from partners and donors, highlighting the contribution of Mr. Harouna Ouedraogo, Deputy Director General of the GECER LEDEA Foundation, who was the event's sponsor. He also acknowledged the media, including AIB, for enhancing the visibility of the Municipal Police's efforts.Mr. Laurent Kontogom, the PDS, commended the Municipal Police for fostering a "spirit of family and sharing" on this day, emphasizing the importance of solidarity as a core value for community living and social cohesion.
