Niaogho Prefect Encourages Students to Embrace Civic Duty and Patriotism

Niaogho: The Prefect, President of the Special Delegation (PDS) of the commune of Niaogho, Karim Sana, invited students from secondary schools in the area on Saturday to demonstrate civic responsibility, discipline, and patriotic commitment, during a civic and patriotic guidance visit to the Niaogho departmental high school.

According to Burkina Information Agency, this visit is part of an effort to strengthen civic and patriotic education in the department's schools. The President of the Special Delegation, accompanied by the Commander of the Territorial Gendarmerie Brigade and the Secretary General of the Town Hall, went to inquire about the progress of the educational activities carried out for the benefit of the students.

The initiative also aimed to congratulate and encourage the teaching teams and supervisors mobilized in the various establishments for the constant efforts they make to instill in learners the fundamental values of civic-mindedness, patriotism, and civic responsibility.

The PDS commended the commitment of teachers and supervisors, emphasizing their crucial role in shaping citizens aware of their rights and responsibilities. Schools remain a key environment for fostering patriotism and preparing responsible youth capable of contributing effectively to the development of their community and Burkina Faso.

Speaking directly to the students, Karim Sana urged them to adopt responsible behaviors worthy of the image of an exemplary Burkinab¨. He reminded them that they are the future generation and, as such, must inspire confidence in the authorities and society through their discipline, academic commitment, and respect for established rules.

The President of the Special Delegation also warned against the behavioral lapses sometimes observed in schools, urging students to distance themselves from incivility, violence, and any practices contrary to republican values. He encouraged them to demonstrate active patriotism, particularly through respect for the symbols of the State, the authorities, and their peers.

For his part, the Commander of the Niaogho Territorial Gendarmerie Brigade raised awareness among the students about the importance of respecting laws and regulations, while urging them to collaborate with the defense and security forces for the preservation of peace and social cohesion in the commune.

At the end of the visit, the municipal authorities reaffirmed their commitment to continuing and strengthening civic and patriotic education programs in Niaogho's schools. They urged all education stakeholders to maintain this momentum in order to cultivate a generation of young people who are aware of and disciplined, deeply committed to the values of Burkina Faso. This initiative is part of the national patriotic immersion program, which aims to strengthen social cohesion and promote responsible citizenship from a young age.
