Sandbondtenga/Civic and Patriotic Education Yields Results in Pissila

Sandbondtenga: The president of the special delegation of the commune of Pissila, Tambi Zouma, expressed satisfaction with the outcomes of the civic and patriotic training (ECP) for students in the intermediate classes of Pissila. This statement followed his visit to the departmental high school of Pissila on Saturday.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the municipal authority and its delegation were greeted by students engaged in civic and patriotic immersion, who welcomed them with a military salute and choral singing. The students, organized into sections, showcased their learning from the civic and patriotic guidance sessions during a review session led by their instructors.

Police Sergeant Philippe Konkobo of the Kaya anti-crime brigade, who supervises the training, observed that the trainees are motivated and dedicated. "They are following the training with great interest," he stated.

The principal of the Pissila municipal high school and head of the center, Alidou Ilboudo, pointed out noticeable positive behavioral changes among the participants, underscoring the significance of the ECP program. The review session assured the visitors of the students' proper assimilation of theoretical knowledge and the civic and disciplinary reflexes taught by the instructors.

Tambi Zouma commended the supervisors for their efforts and encouraged them to maintain their commitment to providing comprehensive education. He also praised the students for their discipline and urged them to maintain rigor and order to maximize the benefits of the training.

The initiative has been well received by the participants. Hel¨ne Sawadogo, a student from section 9, expressed her enthusiasm, saying, "I am happy to participate in these training sessions. We learned how to raise and lower the national colors, how to salute with or without headgear, as well as other military gestures."

Civic and patriotic education was launched on January 13, 2026, in Pissila for middle school and high school students. Over 900 students, including those with disabilities, regularly participate in the sessions.
