Noumoudara: The Ti©fo Festival Celebrates May 15th in Cultural Resilience and Social Cohesion

Noumoudara: The village of Noumoudara, in the commune of P©ni, vibrated on Friday to the rhythm of Ti©fo culture on the occasion of the first edition of the Ti©fo Culture Festival (FESCUT), organized at the local high school under the sign of resilience and social cohesion and on the sidelines of the 3rd edition of the Day of Customs and Traditions.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the event was held under the theme "Our culture: lever of resilience and social cohesion," and the opening ceremony was marked by a strong mobilization of people who came to celebrate and promote their cultural heritage. The festival began with a presentation by Tieba Ouattara, a retired certified teacher, who spoke for nearly three hours about the values of Ti©fo culture, its role in preserving community identity, and its contribution to strengthening social cohesion. The discussions also provided the audience with insights into various aspects of Ti©fo traditions.

At the close of the conference, Moumouni Ou©draogo, President of the Special Delegation of the commune of P©ni, commended the organizers' initiative. He stated that culture remains a powerful factor of social unity, particularly in the current context of Burkina Faso, before urging the population to preserve and transmit ancestral values to younger generations.

The festival-goers then visited the Ti©fo Amoro Mausoleum, led by Badiorie Ouattara. This historical site allowed visitors to discover traditional objects and learn about the history of Ti©fo Amoro, an emblematic figure of resistance and bravery. The celebration continued with an exhibition of traditional Ti©fo dishes intended to promote local culinary know-how, before concluding with performances of traditional dances in a festive atmosphere.

Seydou Ouattara, a member of the organizing committee, mentioned that the festival aims to promote Ti©fo culture and ensure its transmission to future generations.
