March in Support of RPP Draws Massive Crowd in Nahouri

Nahouri: The people of Nahouri province organized a large march on May 16, 2026, in support of the Popular Progressive Revolution (RPP). This large demonstration was attended by a significant government delegation led by the Minister of Security, Mahamoudou Sana, accompanied by the Minister of Basic Education, Jacques Sosth¨ne Dingara, the Minister for Family Affairs, P©lagie Kabor©, and the Minister for Secondary Education, Moumouni Zoungrana. A large delegation from Ghana, led by the traditional chief of Kayoro, also came to support the Burkinab¨ authorities in their vision and their fight against the terrorist threat.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the event was organized to express gratitude to the President of Faso and his government for their contributions to the Nahouri and Nazinon regions as well as to reaffirm support for the RPP. Traditional chiefs and administrative authorities from all over the Nazinon region participated in the march, which was designed to reinforce the bond between the government and the local population. Minister of Basic Education, Jacques Sosth¨ne Dingara, highlighted the dual objectives of the event during his address.

The speakers during the event commended the participants for their strong mobilization and emphasized the vision of the President of Burkina Faso. They encouraged the population to embrace this vision and to continue their support for the government's initiatives. Minister of Security, Mahamoudou Sana, specifically addressed the youth, urging them to support the RPP and resist misinformation.

"I invite you to distance yourselves from manipulations and fake news, to carry the RPP in your hearts and to defend the national territory by all means, in order and discipline," Minister Sana stated.

The participation of the Ghanaian delegation, led by the traditional chief of Kayoro, underscored the regional support for Burkina Faso's government and its efforts to combat terrorism. The traditional authorities presented symbolic gifts, including two quivers, to signify victory over adversaries.

Following the march, the government delegation visited Dakola, a border town between Burkina Faso and Ghana, to inaugurate a new roundabout named "Captain Ibrahim Traor©."
