Dédougou:Transport and construction professionals, along with staff from the Basic Education District (CEB) of Dédougou 1, gathered on October 8, 2026, at the Faso Mêbo site in Dédougou to assist in the production of paving stones. Their contributions included material, food, and financial support to boost site activities.
According to Burkina Information Agency, participants were divided into teams to engage in various stages of paving stone production, such as mixing materials, filling molds, demolding, and storing the products for drying. In addition to their physical efforts, they donated 500 molds, two loads of gravel totaling 24 m³, ten bags of rice and beans, packets of water, and 100,000 CFA francs.
These contributions are intended to enhance the site's production capacity and support the needs of the volunteers involved in the project. The mobilization was part of a service program organized by the Faso Mêbo regional coordination.
Inspector Wanibié Hervé Yé, Head of the CEB of Dédougou 1, expressed satisfaction with the involvement of over 600 staff members and praised the quality of their work. He also noted the need for additional molds, as the existing ones were fully utilized. Inspector Yé assured that the staff of Dédougou 1 and 2 CEBs remain ready to participate in future production days and thanked the Faso Mêbo coordination for their initiative.
Sergeant Ousséni Souly, representing the regional coordinator of Faso Mêbo of Bankui and Sourou, voiced gratitude to all participants and acknowledged the contributions made by the groups. He emphasized the coordination's openness to further support, aiming to increase the production of paving stones for enhancing the streets of Dédougou and improving living conditions in Bankui and Sourou.
