Bilateral cooperation: Burkina and Tunisia strengthen their collaboration by signing several agreements

Ouagadougou: The Minister in charge of Foreign Affairs of Burkina Faso, Karamoko Jean Marie Traoré, and his counterpart from Tunisia, Nabil Ammar, signed, yesterday Tuesday, eight cooperation agreements in several sectors of activity with a view to boosting collaboration between the two States, the AIB learned.According to the communications service of the Ministry in charge of Foreign Affairs, the protocols of understanding were signed during the closing ceremony of the 8th session of the joint cooperation commission between Burkina and Tunisia.These agreements aim to strengthen the legal framework for cooperation between the two countries, said the same source.They concern the sectors of technical education, industry, crafts, tourism, youth and sports.'The agreements will also promote the sharing of experience between the Burkinabè Investment Agency (ABI) and the External Investment Promotion Agency (FIPA-Tunisia),' indicated the minister, according to the communications service.The Permanent Secr etariat of the National Center for Industrial Property (SP-CNPI) and the National Institute for Standardization and Industrial Property (INNORPI) will discuss industrial property.The minister specified that the agreements did not omit the sector of promotion of the family, the rights of women, children and the elderly.Furthermore, the two parties agreed to continue discussions around draft agreements in the areas of security, civil protection and risk management, with a view to their upcoming signature, as soon as possible.After the successful meeting in Ouagadougou, the 9th session of the Joint Cooperation Commission between the two countries is scheduled for 2026 in the Tunisian Republic, our source concluded.Source: Burkina Information Agency
