Afro-Descendants Contribute 23 Tons of Cement to Faso Mebo Initiative

Ouagadougou: Afro-descendants and members of the African diaspora have donated 23 tons of cement to the Faso Mebo initiative in Burkina Faso's capital. The donation took place on Thursday as part of the effort to support the presidential initiative, which focuses on urban development and beautification in the country's cities.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the donation event involved Afro-descendants who not only contributed the cement but also took part in unloading the trucks and making paving stones at the Faso Mebo site. The event was marked by the presence of Dr. Arikana Chihombori-Quao, the representative of the delegation and founding president of the African Diaspora Development Institute (ADDI). Dr. Chihombori-Quao highlighted that this gesture is a representation of their commitment to backing the urban construction and development program initiated by the President of Faso, Captain Ibrahim Traore.
