Burkina faso: The Burkina Faso Beogo Neere Association inaugurated the Nebnooma roundabout in the Tampouy district of Ouagadougou on Saturday. At the event, the association donated 46 bags of corn, each weighing 50 kg, to vulnerable individuals and widows of soldiers who fell during the operations to regain national territorial integrity.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the president of the Burkina Faso Beogo Neere Association, Abdoul Rasmane Ouedraogo, stated that this initiative is part of the dynamic of supporting the actions of the highest authorities of the country, committed, despite the difficulties, to getting Burkina Faso out of the situation of insecurity.
In this spirit of solidarity, he explained, the Association distributed 46 bags of corn, each weighing 50 kg, to vulnerable individuals and widows of fallen soldiers. He indicated that the food provided came from the Association's farm in Pouytenga.
Abdoul Rasmane Ouedraogo also invited all Burkinabe, from all religious denominations, to unite in defense of the country's total sovereignty.
The president of the citizen watchdog coordination committee, Mahamoudou Ouedraogo, emphasized that this type of initiative is appreciated by the country's highest authorities. He urged other associations to follow the example set by the Beogo Neere Association.
For the Association's Secretary General, Sadou Kabore, the Nebnooma roundabout will now serve as a landmark and gathering place. It will be used as a forum for discussion and the formulation of proposals to promote civic engagement, in support of the actions of the Head of State, Captain Ibrahim Traore.
Representing the president of the special delegation of the district n°3 of Ouagadougou, the secretary general of said delegation, Amedee R. Sebogo, welcomed the action taken by the Burkina Faso Beogo Neere Association.
According to him, beyond the many social works it carries out, the Association has, this time, thought of the families of the Defense and Security Forces (FDS) who fell on the front lines for the defense of the homeland, as well as vulnerable people.
He believed that this gesture also constitutes a call to all the daughters and sons of the country to join hands to meet the current challenges, including the security crisis which has led to a humanitarian crisis.
"Together, we can answer the call of the highest authorities in the country by joining forces to meet the challenges of the moment and build our beloved country, Burkina Faso," he urged.
Present in several regions of the country, Burkina Faso Beogo Neere is a secular association that works for the well-being of the population through social action. It is also committed to supporting government action, as evidenced by the donations it has made to the presidential initiative Faso Mªbo and the Patriotic Support Fund.
