Four Forestry Trainees Receive Epaulettes During Flag-Raising Ceremony in Zorgho

Zorgho: Four forestry trainees receive their epaulettes during the solemn flag-raising ceremony. The official raising of the national colors took place on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, at the High Commission in Zorgho, presided over by the High Commissioner, Aminata Sorgho/Gouba. The ceremony included the presentation of epaulettes to four trainees from the Provincial Directorate of Water and Forests.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the event, which had been paused for several months, marks the resumption of the monthly ritual of expressing patriotism and cohesion within the provincial administration. Directors and heads of departments, agents of the High Commission, and members of the citizen watchdog participated in this ceremony.

At the end of the ceremony, the High Commissioner, Ms. Aminata Sorgho/Gouba, commended the participants for their turnout and emphasized the significance of this administrative tradition. "The solemn raising of the colors is not a mere ritual. It is an opportunity to reaffirm our commitment and rekindle the patriotic spirit that sometimes lies dormant within us," she declared.

She urged the officers to remain available, rigorous, and loyal in carrying out their duties, echoing the motto of the President of Burkina Faso: "For order and discipline, I pledge myself."

Addressing the Forestry and Water Resources trainees, Ms. Sorgho/Gouba congratulated them on this milestone in their professional journey. She urged them to serve with dedication and perseverance despite the challenges of the job. "To win without risk is to triumph without glory," she reminded them, emphasizing that success in serving the nation demands discipline and unwavering commitment.

By receiving their epaulettes, the four trainees join the long line of those who, each day, translate into action the commitment to serve the nation with loyalty and rigor.
