Bobo-dioulasso: After two days of discussions, the 22nd edition of the National Government/Private Sector Meeting (RNGSP) concluded in Bobo-Dioulasso with stakeholders pledging to invest in key sectors for Burkina Faso's development. The participants reaffirmed their commitment to collaborate on building strong infrastructure, which is crucial for inclusive and sustainable growth.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the rapporteur of the proceedings, Achille Roland Sow, announced the private sector's commitment to align with the Burkinabe government's priorities by investing in sectors that would boost the country's development. The meeting, themed around infrastructure development for a sustainable economy, allowed private sector actors to express concerns and receive responses from the government.

Several concrete recommendations were made to enhance Burkina Faso's economic sovereignty. The government representative, presiding over the closing ceremony, praised the spirit of dialogue, responsibility, and patriotism that characterized the proceedings. He noted that this edition aligns with the Popular Progressive Revolution led by President Ibrahim Traore, aimed at building a resilient economy driven by national resources.

The government representative highlighted the need to identify concrete solutions for economic sovereignty challenges. He urged the Permanent Secretariat of the RNGSP to implement the main recommendations into a concrete action plan with a rigorous monitoring mechanism for tangible results.

The Government acknowledged the Burkinabe private sector's contribution, especially the Special Consular Delegation of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Burkina Faso (CCI-BF), for its commitment to promoting public-private dialogue and the success of the meeting. The government representative called for economic patriotism as the driving force behind recovery, encouraging investment in local production and consumption of Burkinabe goods.

The 23rd edition of the RNGSP will serve as a platform to evaluate the progress of this year's recommendations and the advances in national economic restructuring.
