High Commissioner Urges Graduates to Uphold Patriotism and Honor Parents During Immersion

Bal©: The High Commissioner of the Bale Province, Martin Bako, has urged new high school graduates to honor their parents and the nation through exemplary behavior during the patriotic immersion period. This call to action was made on Wednesday, August 13, 2025, during a ceremony that included the raising of national colors and a message from the Head of State, Captain Ibrahim Traor©, at immersion sites in Boromo.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the event marked the second day of the patriotic immersion for graduates in the Bal© province, attended by a delegation of administrative authorities. This delegation included the President of the special delegation of Boromo, officials from the Defense and Security Forces, educational authorities, parents, and citizen watch groups, all led by High Commissioner Martin Bako at the provincial high school in Boromo.

The High Commissioner was briefed on the progress of the immersion program, which began three days prior, expressing his satisfaction with the involvement and mobilization of all stakeholders. He highlighted the participants' adherence to guidelines as crucial for the success of the initiative, reflecting the vision of the country's leadership.

Emphasizing the importance of responsibility and patriotism, Mr. Bako reiterated the expectations of national authorities and called on all involved to demonstrate commitment. He addressed the graduates, underscoring the unique opportunity the immersion provides in shaping them into model citizens.

"We are in a progressive revolution and you should understand things and also participate in this revolution. This space must make you model citizens and patriotic men and women capable of serving their country with love and integrity," the High Commissioner stated, urging the graduates to honor their parents and nation through their conduct during the program.
