Ioba Province Hosts Patriotic Flag-Raising Ceremony to Boost Community Engagement

Ouagadougou: The monthly national flag-raising ceremony took place at the provincial directorate in charge of humanitarian action of Ioba, under the chairmanship of the province's high commissioner, Innocents Ouattara. The event marked a significant moment of patriotic commitment as various institutions gathered to participate in this solemn tradition.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the traditional monthly raising of the national flag in Ioba mobilized institutions to demonstrate their patriotic commitment and unity. The ceremony, held at the provincial directorate of humanitarian action and national solidarity, featured a police officer at the flagpole while participants sang the national anthem, Ditanye, in unison. Innocents Ouattara, the High Commissioner of Ioba, emphasized the importance of this activity as part of the ongoing Patriotic Commitment and Citizen Participation Days (JEPPC).

Ouattara echoed the words of the Head of State, Captain Ibrahim Traore, highlighting the necessity of integrity and rejecting corruption in the management of public assets. He urged participants to work with honesty and transparency to build a stronger and more sovereign Burkina Faso. The High Commissioner also recognized the province's driving forces for their efforts in mobilizing participation in Ioba's events. He expressed confidence in their continued support for upcoming activities, including the 1st edition of the Dagara Culture and Arts Days (JCAD), the 10th edition of the Peace Pedal (PDP), and the Month of Solidarity.

Gouman Evariste Some, the provincial director in charge of humanitarian action for Ioba, provided an overview of his department's mission, which includes promoting solidarity, humanitarian action, reconciliation, gender equality, and family protection. He noted that the provincial directorate comprises five departments and six operational municipal social services located in Dano, Dissihn, Niego, Oronkua, Ouessa, and Zambo. Evariste Some expressed gratitude to all representatives of the various bodies present at the ceremony for their participation and support.
