Statutory Members Review Actions in Passore Province

Passore: The High Commissioner of Passore, Daouda Sangare, led the third ordinary session of the Provincial Consultation Framework (CCP) for 2025 in Yako. The session aimed at reviewing the actions carried out in the province to enhance the living conditions of its population.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the statutory members of the Provincial Consultation Framework gathered on November 25, 2025, in Yako. This meeting was a platform for sharing experiences and making decisions crucial for the province's well-being. The session included Presidents of the special delegations from the nine communes, decentralized technical services, military and paramilitary personnel, customary chiefs, and representatives from Civil Society Organizations (CSOs).

The first communication addressed the Universal Health Insurance Scheme (RAMU), presented by Nestor Lengane of the National Universal Health Insurance Fund. It covered principles, conditions for coverage, membership, and benefits related to the universal health insurance.

Subsequent communications by Dr. Ousseni Sawadogo, Chief Medical Officer of the Yako health district, highlighted the results of mass health campaigns and the epidemiological situation in 2025. The campaigns aimed to reduce morbidity, mortality, and strengthen immunity against diseases, showing satisfactory results in improving health, malaria prevention, vaccination coverage, and combating parasitic diseases.

Stephane Marie Gerard Tougri from the Association for Protection of the Environment and Sustainable Development (APEDR) reviewed annual projects aimed at promoting agroecological practices. APEDR implemented four projects in 2025 to encourage agroecological transition at the municipal level.

Noelie Berehoumdougou/Kabore, Secretary General of Passore, discussed community conflicts. The presentation outlined recurring conflicts such as those between farmers and herders, land disputes, and religious and mining conflicts, identifying causes like unresolved past issues and intolerance.
