Bale: The governor of the Bankui and Sourou regions, Pierre Bassinga, met with key figures in the Pompoi commune to explain Captain Ibrahim's vision of the Popular Progressive Revolution. Dozens of representatives from different socio-professional groups attended the meeting.
According to Burkina Information Agency, Governor Bassinga was accompanied by High Commissioner Martin Bako of the Bale province and senior officials from the Defense and Security Forces. Before the discussions at the Pompoi Town Hall, the regional authority paid homage to traditional and religious leaders at the village chief's residence, extending New Year's greetings and seeking blessings for the President of Burkina Faso, his government, and the armed forces.
The meeting addressed several aspects essential to social cohesion, harmonious coexistence, socio-economic and cultural development, and the success of the ongoing Popular Progressive Revolution. The governor commended the representatives' spirit of sacrifice and daily efforts in their respective departments, reminding them of their duty to serve the people of Pompoi.
The governor instructed the Presidential Security Directorate (PDS) to ensure the successful implementation of government initiatives. He also elaborated on the Head of State's vision through the Regional Planning Program (RPP), which aims to enhance the country's dignity through achievements and community mobilization.
Significant efforts have been made to address the region's needs, including the liberation of previously inaccessible localities. The fight against insecurity and terrorism requires the commitment of all citizens. The governor called on all socio-professional groups to participate in civic vigilance by reporting suspicious activities.
Governor Bassinga emphasized that without security, development cannot be achieved. He highlighted that food self-sufficiency is a priority for Captain Ibrahim Traore, with significant investments being made by Commander Isma«l Sombie's department. The government's achievements in various areas were also discussed.
