This is how the environment service, in collaboration with the members of the special delegation, initiated an arbor day on Tuesday August 29, 2023 in the courtyard of the town hall of Solenzo and also that of the prefecture of Solenzo. .

Abdoul Karim Diaby, PDS of the municipality of Solenzo accompanied by members of the delegation reforested a dozen fruit trees composed of mango trees, jackfruit trees and cashew trees.

According to Honoré Koudougou, head of the departmental water and forest service of Solenzo, this initiative aims to enable the resilient population to appropriate good practices by planting useful.

“It's not about planting hundreds of trees and giving back, but about planting what we want, what we can maintain and what will benefit us in the future. That's what I invite everyone to plant useful ”concludes Honoré Koudougou.

This reforestation, which began in the courtyard of the town hall and the prefecture, will spread to the other services of the municipality in order to invite the population to do the same at home and also to fight against the large-scale cutting of green wood. currently in the municipality of Solenzo.
