The population rehabilitates a degraded road in Solenzo

The population of Solenzo has rehabilitated a degraded road at the northern exit of the town of Solenzo.

Responding to the call of CSO officials, the population of the municipality of Solenzo came out in large numbers on Tuesday, July 18, 2023 to rehabilitate the Tansila road which is half cut off at the northern exit of the city.

Indeed, the heavy rains of recent years have damaged the road and at the North exit, the track is impassable and risks being completely cut off from Tansila by the end of the rainy season.

According to Honoré Coulibaly, an SOS was launched and voluntary contributions made it possible to carry out this repair work.

Tricycles and dump trucks are responsible for shipping stones, sand and gravel in order to pour the concrete on the broken parts.

Chain work since the morning on this section.

Some lay wild stones, others mix cement and gravel.

“This Solenzo, Tansila road has deteriorated for years. If we sit down who will come and arrange for us. It's like the Solenzo-Koundougou road too, but this section is beyond us. We went out to fix it and really everyone made the effort by putting their hand in their pocket to allow us to have the cement and help with fuel so that the machines brought us the necessary,'' said Mr. Coulibaly
